Pain Awareness Day – Saltaire

'Pain is inevitable – suffering is optional'
 

This event is aimed at chronic and acute pain sufferers and their carers and is intended to make people aware of everything that is on offer by way of help and support.  There is also the chance to chat to others with the same problems.

Date:          Tuesday 4th June, 10.00am – 2.00pm

Location:    Evans Room, Victoria Hall, Saltaire Village

Cost:          £3.00

Refreshments will be available throughout the event.

Talks and Presentations include:

  • BOWEN THERAPY – Dr Alison Merrick, PhD

  • SIRPA (Stress Illness Recovery Practitioners Association) – Georgie Oldfield

There is also the opportunity to speak to specialists in pain management through a number of therapeutic disciplines, including:

  • HOMEOPATHY – Linda Gartland
  • SHIATSU – Jackie-Louise Knight

Advice and humour on coping with Pain is also presented by Hattie Townsend
