Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional freedom technique (EFT), or 'tapping' is a meridian therapy, rooted in the most ancient arts of Japanese acupressure and Chinese acupuncture.   It is a system widely applicable to treat emotional blocks, stress, phobias and psychological problems as well as providing pain relief, often in a short time period, by tapping on various acupressure points whilst concentrating on the problem, pain or issue.

EFT is popular across a wide range of areas, including:

  • reducing feelings of anxiety and stress
  • identifying and shifting unconscious blocks to progress
  • overcoming procrastination
  • managing nerves and panic attacks
  • improving confidence and self-belief and 'imposter syndrome'
  • enabling lifestyle changes
  • reducing emotional distress
  • pain relief and management
  • tackling phobias
  • managing habits and addictions
  • supporting and easing periods of change

EFT can be applied in a number of contexts for people of all ages – from dealing with exam stress to managing a busy home or improving performance in business.
