Begin Mindfulness Workshop

Mindfulness is 'taking control of your mind rather than allowing your mind to be in control of you’ (Linehan)

  • Do you get distracted from the here and now, by your worries about how that day or the future will turn out?
  • Are you constantly striving to be happier than you are now?
  • Do you think you can’t enjoy life until you have done this or achieved that?
  • Do you dream and plan for when you will be happy?
  • Are you feeling stressed and would like to manage stress better?
  • Are you struggling to find enough hours in the day to get everything done?
  • Would you like to take better care of yourself and be kinder to yourself?
  • Are you sceptical about meditation and don’t know if meditation is for you but would like to try it?
  • Are looking to enjoy your life more?

If you find you can answer yes to any of the questions above and would like to to live a more calm and contented life, our half-day course can help.

What is Mindfulness?

It has been clinically proven that we can change our brain’s responses through repetitive mindfulness practice. Mindfulness trains your mind using a combination of very simple meditations and exercises that focus your mind on whatever you are doing in that moment.
You can read books on mindfulness but it has to be experienced rather than just understood, and our aim is to provide that experience.

As you are reading this information, you may notice that your mind wanders to next steps or other thoughts…when you notice this happening, bring your attention back to the page without criticizing or judging yourself for losing focus. By doing this simple process you become mindfully aware of your thoughts.

Also simply be aware of your next four breaths and notice how that affects you.

Welcome to the present moment and mindfulness!
